Finney’s FREE STUFF

***BAY AREA ONLY***

Don’t forget, it’s Friday, and that means free goodies from Michael Finney and ABC7!

This week they’re giving away Safeway Select Ice Cream and Hunt’s Ketchup (or other tomato product).  Just go to their website to get the address, then send them a self-addressed envelope and wait….

We’ve gotten some great stuff this way.  But…don’t delay because they have a limited number of coupons, and they do sometimes run out, so send yours right away!

Arepas from Pica Pica Maize Kitchen

Today on ABC7 News’ Finney’s Friday Free Stuff they are giving away coupons for free Arepas from a place called Pica Pica Maize Kitchen which has locations in both San Francisco and Napa.  If I understand correctly “arepas” refers to the corn flour flatbread…but what you are actually getting is a sandwich on this bread.  They say they are “Venezuelan street food.”

There’s a short video here:  Pica Pica Maize Kitchen on Eye On The Bay that explains it better than I can.

All you have to do is send in a self-addressed stamped envelope.  If you want to get in on this, you should send away for yours NOW, as quantities of the free coupons are limited.  See the Finney’s Friday Free Stuff page on ABC7 for all the details.  I can’t wait to try these!

Sunday shopping trip

Not too bad!  I went shopping yesterday, and I bought all the stuff you see here for a total of $3.89!

Here are the details:

Walgreens

Pepperidge Farms cookies—Sale price $2.99—Used $1 off coupon= $1.99  (I only had one coupon, but it would be cheaper if you have two as the sale price is 2/$5.00)

Stayfree pads—Sale price $2.99–Used $1 off coupon–Received $3.00 Register Reward=FREE plus overage

Nestle candy bars–In-ad coupon price 39¢ each

Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap–$3.29–With In-ad coupon 99¢ each

I also paid with two $2.50 RR from the U by Kotex deal, so my total here with tax was only $3.67 (Savings=$17.10)

In between stores I stopped off at McDonalds and got a Large Fries and Dasani bottled water for free thanks to a certificate I had from Finney’s Friday Free Stuff.  (I won’t eat a whole large fries by myself, so I took them home and shared them and ate the rest of my lunch from home.)

CVS

Ocean Spray cranberry juice–Sale price 2/$5.00 (plus bottle deposit 10¢ ea)

Wheat Thins–Sale price $1.00 each–Used two $1 off  coupons from Facebook=FREE

FIg Newtons–Sale price $1.00 each–Used two $1.00 off coupons from Facebook=FREE

I paid with 3 Extra Care Bucks certificates from previous offers–totaling $4.98

My total out of pocket here was 22¢ (Savings $15.52)

Unfortunately I forgot to bring my shopping bag with the CVS bag tag on it, so I missed out on my 25¢ towards future ECBs.  Still all in all it was a good shopping trip.

Finney’s Friday Free Stuff

I have to tell you I have gotten some of my best free goodies by watching Finney’s Friday Free Stuff.  For those who haven’t seen this before, he is a local consumer reporter who gives away free stuff every week on the news.  We have gotten lots of great stuff this way including grocery items, restaurant freebies, tickets to the zoo and the Red & White ferry and even to the Sesame Street show Elmo’s Green Thumb! lol

All you have to do is watch the ABC7 news at 5:00pm every Friday to see what they are giving away this week.  Then go to the ABC7 website and find out the information about where to send your SASE.  I suggest mailing it first thing Monday morning as quantities of most items are limited so you have a better chance of getting one if you get your envelope there early.

**Sorry to the out of towners, but this is good for San Francisco Bay Area folks only!**
