Locally the snack plates I have seen are similar to the one pictured above, lots of little high protein tidbits, and they’re not cheap, but they look pretty good. We spend plenty at Starbucks, they can afford to give us some free goodies!!

Note: Offer good in CA only

Finney’s FREE STUFF

***BAY AREA ONLY***

Don’t forget, it’s Friday, and that means free goodies from Michael Finney and ABC7!

This week they’re giving away Safeway Select Ice Cream and Hunt’s Ketchup (or other tomato product).  Just go to their website to get the address, then send them a self-addressed envelope and wait….

We’ve gotten some great stuff this way.  But…don’t delay because they have a limited number of coupons, and they do sometimes run out, so send yours right away!

Chiquita Fruit Crushie

**Bay Area Only**

Isn’t it fun to try out new products?  Especially when the company is giving them away for FREE!!!

Click on the photo above to go to their site and print out a coupon for a free Chiquita Fruit Crushie.

**Note: You can print more than one, so although it is limited to one per customer, bring a friend or family member, and you can each get one!

Arepas from Pica Pica Maize Kitchen

Today on ABC7 News’ Finney’s Friday Free Stuff they are giving away coupons for free Arepas from a place called Pica Pica Maize Kitchen which has locations in both San Francisco and Napa.  If I understand correctly “arepas” refers to the corn flour flatbread…but what you are actually getting is a sandwich on this bread.  They say they are “Venezuelan street food.”

There’s a short video here:  Pica Pica Maize Kitchen on Eye On The Bay that explains it better than I can.

All you have to do is send in a self-addressed stamped envelope.  If you want to get in on this, you should send away for yours NOW, as quantities of the free coupons are limited.  See the Finney’s Friday Free Stuff page on ABC7 for all the details.  I can’t wait to try these!

Free breakfast at Subway (local)

On Tuesday, May 11th (that’s tomorrow!) stop by any San Francisco Bay Area Subway (the email says San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose locations…so I would call to check if your store is participating) between 7:00am and 10:00am  and get a free Egg Muffin Melt (breakfast sandwich) and an 8oz beverage.

Hey locals, get your Mom!

If you live in Sonoma County, certainly you’ve been to the best….really the ONLY place around for amazing, delicious, homemade ice cream!  I took my Mom there today, and found out they are giving a FREE ONE SCOOP SUNDAE to all Moms.  My mom had fresh apricot ice cream with hot fudge and she was very happy!  In fact there were many happy Moms there indulging in the goodness.

If you’ve never been there…why not??…but now here’s your excuse!  If you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about and you’re probably not even still reading…you’ve probably already grabbed your mom and your car keys!  It’s not too late, they’re open well into the evening.

Oh and by the way…I highly recommend the Black and White, which is really just a chocolate soda with your choice of ice cream.  I had Oreo Mint and it was DELICIOUS.

Free garden classes

So many people I know are raising chickens these days!  The fresh eggs are wonderful and the hens eat bugs and scraps and are generally fun to watch and not alot of trouble to keep.  It’s great to know where your eggs are coming from, and they come in such a lovely variety of colors.

Lyngso in Redwood City is offering a FREE class on beginning backyard chicken raising on May 8th at 10:00am.  They also have other free classes, such as how to lay a path and how to add a water feature to your yard.  You can see a complete list and register for all their classes on the Lyngso website.

Soup

Hey Bay Area…how about some free soup?  If you sign up to receive San Francisco Soup Company’s daily email (in which they tell you which soups are being served at your preferred location each day) they say that about 3 times a year your email will include a certificate for a free bowl of soup.  I just signed up myself, so I haven’t received one yet, but I’ll keep looking!  I’ve actually never been to this place, but it sounds good and a free bowl is good incentive to try it!  Zucchini and Blue Cheese soup sounds yummy, and I love Chicken Tortilla, Corn Chowder, Split Pea…mmmm.

Find a location near you here.

Ice skating

Snoopy’s Home Ice (the Redwood Empire Ice Arena) has a fun deal called “Saturday Night Cheap Skate Date” where skating  costs only $5.00 per person on Saturday evenings from 8:30 to 10:00pm (including skate rental).

In the summer the usual price is $9.00 to skate plus $3.00 for skate rental.  I do think this would make a fun date.  You can even stop by the Warm Puppy Cafe for a Peppermint Patty hot chocolate.  :)

Free fun stuff to do

The Sonoma County Regional Parks are having lots of great free events this month….campfires, nature walks, festivals, etc.  I’m bummed I missed the Tide Pool Walk today!  Check out their upcoming schedule for more fun stuff for the whole family: Sonoma County Parks Celebration Month.

…also if you buy a Parks Pass before by June 30th you can get a BUNCH of free stuff—tshirts,  water bottles, kayak rental, night of camping, and lots more!  Plus you get admission to all the great local parks all year long. Passes are $63 for individual/family, $28 for seniors (60 yrs+) and $22 for the disabled.  So worth it if you got to the parks alot, or if you want to.
